1. What Chinese365 is
Chinese365 is a Chinese language learning platform built on a single open vocabulary knowledge base. We provide character pages, HSK-level vocabularies, grammar references, a slang dictionary, and five AI-powered tools that run against a large language model. We also expose the same vocabulary and tools via a public HTTP API.
2. Your account
You can browse the site anonymously. If you create an account you agree to (a) give us a valid email address, (b) choose a password you don't reuse elsewhere, and (c) keep your API key — if you generate one — confidential. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account or with your key.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit content to our LLM tools that is illegal, hateful, or designed to extract system prompts.
- Exceed the rate limits of your tier, or circumvent them by script or automation.
- Resell the API or the widgets at a markup without our written permission.
- Scrape the site in a way that degrades service for other users.
- Reverse-engineer the vocabulary database to train a competing product.
4. Content
The vocabulary and grammar entries on Chinese365 are self-authored and reference public, widely-accepted language resources. If you spot an error, please email us — we'll fix it.
When you submit text to our LLM tools, you retain ownership of that text. We do not publish it, sell it, or use it to train any model.
5. API tiers & quotas
We offer free, pro, and white-label tiers for the public API. Each tier has documented rate limits and daily quotas. We may change tier limits with 30 days notice, and we will always grandfather existing keys for at least that period.
Free-tier abuse (deliberate mass-registration of throwaway accounts to multiply quotas) may result in key suspension.
6. No warranty
Chinese365 is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. The grammar explanations, level estimates, and AI-generated sentences are learning aids, not authoritative linguistic sources. Verify anything important against a native speaker or an established textbook.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chinese365's liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim — or USD 100 if you've paid nothing.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your profile, or by emailing jingshuicc@gmail.com. We may suspend access for users who violate these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Chinese365 operates. Disputes will be resolved in that jurisdiction's courts.
10. Changes
If we change these terms materially, we will update the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, surface a notice on the site for at least 30 days.
